The Internet of Things (IoT) is continuing to develop at a steady pace. In 2016, Gartner estimates that there will be 5.5 million new things connected every day. It is also predicted that 6.4 Billion connected things will be in use over the next twelve months, increasing by 30% since 2015.
The number of connected things is set to reach 20.8 billion by 2020, and Gartner estimates that IoT will support total services spending of $235 billion in 2016, up 22% from 2015. It is clear that IoT will have a direct impact on global business.
